Internship Program
Internships or on-the-job training (OJT) are essential for microbiology and chemistry students because hands-on experience, practical skills, and industry exposure that cannot be fully gained through classroom learning. At Kulkarni Laboratory, with more than 3000 clients experience, we have designed various training programs to reduce gap between theory and practical.

Few Points which are crucial for students:
1. Practical Application of Theoretical Knowledge
Microbiology and chemistry involve laboratory techniques, sample analysis, and experiments that require hands-on practice.
Internships help students apply what they’ve learned in real-world settings.
Due to which they become more confident while facing interviews and can add value to company.
2. Latest and industry-oriented Skill Development
Students gain experience in lab techniques such as culturing microbes, Analytical chemistry techniques, chromatography, spectroscopy, titration, and method development in analytical testing, standard chemical preparation.
They learn how to use industry-grade equipment and follow laboratory protocols.
3. Exposure to industrial requirements and Work Environment.
Helps students understand good laboratory practices (GLP),standard operating procedures (SOPs),and safety protocols.
Introduces them to industries like pharmaceuticals, Cosmetics food safety, environmental testing, biotechnology, and research institutions.
4. Enhances Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking
Interns learn how to troubleshoot experiments, interpret data, and work on real- world scientific challenges.
5. Increases Job Opportunities
Many companies prefer hiring graduates with internship experience because they require less training.
Secure permanent jobs due to specific skills upgradation.
6. Networking & Professional Connections
Internships allow students to build relationships with professionals, mentors, and industry experts.
These connections can help in securing jobs or research opportunities in the future.
7. Helps in Career Decision-Making
Exposure to different fields like clinical microbiology, pharmaceuticals, food science, or forensic chemistry helps students decide their career path.
8. Develops Soft Skills
Working in a professional environment enhances communication, teamwork, and time management skills, which are crucial for any career.
9. Hybrid model of Internships:
During our training experience, we have realised due to distances and issue of safe accommodation for short period of time, students unable to do internships and get advantage of our courses. So we have developed portal for training www.laboratorytraining.in
Currently we have designed only programs for water testing, Food testing, Soil testing and Microbial testing. But in future we will be developing many training programs to cater all types of quality and testing.
To bridge a gap between academic learning and professional success, we have developed many short courses with cost effective way, so students can take benefits and get good jobs or succeed in there activities. It prepares students for their future careers by giving them practical experience, technical expertise, and industry readiness.
